trying the positive approach in parenting I say to clay "thanks for obeying quickly clay" (hoping this will encourage collin to obey as well i look at him and he responds..."thanks for ruining my life" (did not expect that till the teens:)
Clay upset while looking for Collin said "I don't know what path Collin has went on"
Clay said after spilling his milk..."Mommy come look at my beautiful mess!"
"Megan, I am so frustrated" why? "I'm just sitten here singing songs to myself in my head" - clay at church

"I love being afraid of goats" - Clay after attempting to feed a goat at the apple orchard
This morning Clay came to me crying and I asked him what was wrong. He replied in tears "Collin won't put the wagon on the firetrucks bottom" -meaning- attach the wagon to the backend of the firetruck.
Daddy tells a bed time story to the boys every Sunday night. Several weeks ago he made up a story about trees coming to life and talking to the boys. Well the story scared Clay so he say's every night before story time - even book nights "Daddy, no twees o.k."
"The big bad wolf is stuck in the TV right mommy" Listening from upstairs to a "three litte pigs" movie playing downstairs -scared Clay
Collin questioned "There's probly no food in Heaven right mommy" I replied that God is actually planning a big party for us in Heaven and the food will be better than we could ever imagin - a big table with a big spread. He responded " Do you think our neighbor is coming, I think we should ask him when we get home from the Library"
